Welcome to the 'Silk Works' gallery!

These are all painted with silk dye on to silk. The designs here can range from Abstract and pattern filled scarves to recognizable detailed paintings.

I aim for a sense of continuous movement in my paintings so I use the same fluid Japanese brush-touch as I use in my Sumi-e to create that effect.
That combined with loud and passionate silk dye tones gives me that endless flow of colour resulting in imagery you just want to leap into!
